Haverhill Association of Voluntary Organisations
HAVO - helping the voluntary sector achieve its aims
The main purpose of HAVO is to act as an umbrella organisation in order to ensure that:
- Voluntary groups & charities are offered support, training, information and practical advice wherever possible
- Maintain a channel of communication with funders, policy makers and statutory bodies
- The voluntary and community sector in Haverhill and the surrounding area secures the resources it needs to grow and provide services to the local community
HAVO believes strongly in the support and services offered to our community by voluntary groups.
HAVO recognises that only by working together can voluntary groups in Haverhill and the surrounding villages gain the resources needed to carry out this valuable work.
Advice is available on all matters relating to voluntary & community groups including the roles and responsibilities of committees, business planning, budgeting, applying for charitable status, this list goes on.
Office services available include Internet access, faxing, and photo copying and hot desk space.
The above lists are just a few ways in which we can help your organisation achieve its aims, if you require more information please contact HAVO.
HAVO is an active partner in the West Suffolk Consortium for Voluntary Organisations (WSCVO).
